Also, don’t assume you’re the only one who should ask questions…allow your date to ask questions as well! Speed dating is the hot new alternative on the dating scene, compared to barhopping and online dating.

The answers to those questions should also help you decide whether or not you want to work for the employer.

Employers usually have several candidates for every job, and they aren't interested in a candidate who isn't really interested in them or the opportunity.

If you are tongue-tied, you are out of the picture. You must go about the dating event with a positive attitude. Also remember never to be tongue-tied and paralyzed if you can't remember the important questions; there are so many inane things to discuss and enjoy!

No one wants to date some one who does not talk, is boring or nervous.

Most will require thought or at least some explanation when answered.

Finally, don’t get so obsessed with asking a list of specific questions that you end up putting you’re dating on an “interview”. If it never finds a life of its own then at the very least mix things up so there are some serious questions and some light-hearted ones. If you are serious about finding a relationship you need to decide what’s important to you and base your questions, at least in part, on these areas.

Because of this limited time, the way you dress and the questions you ask are really important. There are numerous other questions you can ask on a speed date if you rack your brains.

One thing you really don’t have is the luxury of time. The trick is to select from among these the questions that are closest to your heart and whose answers are important to you.

While I will provide examples it’s best if you ask yourself this question: What’s important to me in a relationship?
