“With the exception of skunk, which is really dangerous, I fail to see what all the fuss is about.

“I feel so happy and warm inside that I’ve made my parents proud,” she said. “With the exception of the car accident, which was a gross misjudgment on my part and something I really regret, everything that labeled me a wild child was pretty much standard behaviour for a young girl in London,” she says.

Madeley also moved to Newcastle upon Tyne for a while to work and present for The Teenage Cancer Trust. In January 2010, Madeley participated in Celebrity Quitters, programme where five celebrities attempted to give up smoking using NRT (Nicotine Replacement Therapy).

She has a brother, Jack (born 19 April 1986), and two older half-brothers: Dan and Tom Henshaw, (twins born 2 March 1977) from her mother's first marriage to David Henshaw.

Madeley attended Leeds Trinity & All Saints College (whose degrees used to be awarded by Leeds University) in 2006-2007, where she lived in Kirkstall Halls.

Madeley reached the final three of the competition which included former East Enders actor, Sam Attwater, and children's television presenter, Laura Hamilton. In 2015, Madeley took part in the second series of Channel 4 TV Show The Jump and finished in fifth place.

A keen fitness enthusiast, Madeley has trained and worked as a personal trainer and fitness instructor alongside her media work.
