Tudor serial numbers are more complicated to accurately date than Rolex Serial Numbers as there is far less information on Tudor serial numbers available.

A subsidiary of the legendary Rolex brand, Tudor watches began making a distinct name for themselves from their inception by Rolex founder Hans Wildorf in the late 1940s.

Wildorf had been experimenting for years with the idea of bringing a line of classic watches to a broader audience at more modest prices, without sacrificing the extremely high caliber quality that Rolex had been known for.

In the late 60's early 70's, it was converted to the current Shield logo. The ser# reference thingy does not work for Tudors.

This one has a Tudor-branded plate with no serial on it, but it could be masking a serial inside the mechanism somewhere? First, Tudors were introduced in 1945 and used the Rose emblem. Thought I was cracking up when it appeared as "ended"!

Advertising: All ads stating that prices are up to a certain percent off pertain to the full retail price of a new watch.

For instance, if an ad says "Up To 35% off" this means that our price is up to 35% less than what the full retail price of a new watch would be.

The watch cases were supplied by Rolex until recently and so the serial number of Tudor watches are found in the same place as they would be found on a Rolex watch – between the lugs at the 6 o’clock position engraved into the case behind where the bracelet fits.

It will never be 100% accurate, but it should give you a very good idea of the year of your Tudor and at worst I would hope you may be one year out.

DISCLAIMER: All Sell prices are based on watches in good, salable condition in no need of any repair.

All in-store sales are final and do NOT come with the 3 day return policy. All prices are subject to change depending on market conditions.

This magnificent price table contains authorized retailer prices in about 5-year steps for just about all important Rolex references that debuted in or after 1957.
